3 avocados, peeled, pitted, and sliced
1 lime, juiced
1/2 cup diced onion
1 tsp salt
3 Tbs chopped fresh cilantro (or 1 tsp dried)
1 tsp minced garlic
pinch ground cayenne pepper (optional)

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Refrigerate 1 hour for best flavor , or serve  immediately.
